DISMISSAL LAW

Dutch employment law encompasses statutory dismissal regulations. Sometimes these regulations are modified by a collective labour agreement or an employment contract, which can create ambiguity regarding the requirements for a dismissal to be considered ‘in accordance with the rules.’

Employment contracts may be terminated through various means. We provide guidance on all forms of termination, including probationary and summary dismissals, as well as restrictions on termination. Based on the specific circumstances, we collaboratively determine the most suitable strategy to pursue.

Litigation at the UWV or the sub-district court is often unnecessary. More frequently, we assist clients in achieving a mutually agreeable solution through a settlement agreement.
